New River Retreat WV has over 300' of river access. There are several boat ramps located close by. One ramp is located 200 yards upstream of the retreat. Other river access points are as follows:
(1) 1/4 mile upstream at McCreery boat ramp
(2) 1-1/2 miles upstream a Grandview Sandbar
(3) 7-miles upstream at Glade Creek Camp Ground
(4) 5-miles downstream at Thayer boat ramp
(5) 10-miles downstream at Thurmond boat ramp
Local river shuttle service is available. Ask about shuttle service details.
You can have the shuttle driver take you and your vehicle up river to one of the boat ramps and drop you off, then bring your vehicle back to the camp so you can float down the river and take out at the camp.

Six (6) Guests Maximum
Check-in Time = 4 p.m.
Check-out Time = 11 a.m.
Nightly - Sunday thru Thursday
$385.00 per night, plus tax
Weekends - Friday & Saturday Night (2-Night Minimum)
2- Nights - $770.00 plus tax
Weekly Rate - Sunday thru Saturday
7 Nights - $2,500.00 plus tax
Each Additional Night, over initial 7 - Add $325.00 per Night plus tax
$120.00 per Night Booking Deposit Required at Time of Reservation
100% Deposit will be refunded if reservation is cancelled a minimum of 14 days prior to reservation date.
Only 30% of deposit will be refunded if reservation is cancelled less than 14 days prior to reservation date. Refunds will not be issued due to weather or river conditions with the exception of the river level exceeding 75,000 CFS at the Thurmond river gauge. Refunds will be issued based on the remaining unused nights on the reservation.
